Theo Naidoo Protea PsychologyOur Philosophy

Protea Psychology was inspired by the majestic Protea. An incredibly robust and adaptable plant, the Protea has the ability to flourish in nutrient-deficient soils and extremely harsh climates, and is often one of the first plants to rise from the ashes after a bushfire. Their remarkable resilience is due to their thick underground stems and rootstock that not only anchor them to the earth and allow them to acquire nourishment from hostile environments, but also contain dormant buds that sprout new stems up towards the light and air when the plant requires it.

Our practice was born out of a desire to help people live their lives like the Protea – with strong foundations that leave them resilient to the challenges of life, fruitful even in unfavourable conditions, and confident that their own inner strength and resources run deep enough to withstand whatever comes their way.
